“A Democracia Americana e Donald Trump”
O belo Palácio dos Leões (sede do Governo Estadual do Maranhão) foi o palco da 1a palestra-debate “A Democracia Americana e Donald Trump”.
A convite do Fórum Conjunto Consad-Conseplan, que reúne respectivamente todos os secretários estaduais da Administração e os secretários estaduais de Planejamento, Eduardo Diogo abordou e debateu com a seleta audiência sobre:
. Os sete pecados capitais do legado de Barack Obama;
. Os principais fatos que ocasionaram a derrota de Hillary Clinton;
. Os fatores chave na estratégia vitoriosa de Donald Trump;
. A mentalidade e o modus operandi do Presidente dos EUA;
. O processo eleitoral Americano (primárias, eleições gerais, colégio eleitoral), e;
. O funcionamento do sistema político nos EUA (destacando alguns fundamentos e nuances sobre os três poderes).
Com seu retorno ao Brasil após mais de três anos residindo na capital dos EUA (Washington DC), Eduardo dá início a uma série de palestras-debate onde discutirá os temas acima e vários outros correlatos, sempre de acordo com o maior interesse e perfil da respectiva audiência.
Na oportunidade no Palácio dos Leões, após o debate houve o sorteio de um exemplar do livro original em inglês “It Was About Hope” entre os secretários de estado, e a secretária de Planejamento anfitriã, Cynthia Lima (MA), foi a agraciada.

“The American Democracy and Donald Trump”
The beautiful Palace of the Lions (“Palácio dos Leões”) was the stage of the first speech-debate “The American Democracy and Donald Trump.”
Eduardo Diogo was invited by the Joint Forum Consad-Conseplan, which brings together all state-level Secretaries of Management and all state-level secretaries of Planning in Brazil. In the occasion, Eduardo Diogo addressed and discussed with the refined audience the following topics:
. The seven deadly signs of Barack Obama’s legacy;
. The key factors in Hillary Clinton’s defeat;
. The key factors in Donald Trump’s winning strategy;
. The mindset and the modus-operandi of the US President;
. The American electoral process (primaries, general elections and electoral college);
. The political system in the USA (some fundamentals and nuances of the three branches of government).
With the return throughout over three years living in the Nation’s Capital (Washington, D.C.) it was the very first of a sequence of lectures and debates on the above topics and several other correlated matters, which Eduardo will address in his motherland—always according to the greater interest and profile of the respective audience.
After the debate with the state-level secretaries, a copy of the original book released in English, “It Was About Hope,” was drawn among the secretaries, and the secretary for Planning of the state of “Maranhão,” Cynthia Lima, was the recipient.
