Sadly, there are persons so exceedingly poor, that they solely have enormous amounts of both money and pride…
However, “after the dust of centuries has passed over our cities… We will be remembered… For our contribution to the human spirit.”
Thus, what is going to be our individual contribution to the improvement of the human spirit in 2018?!?
Book (It Was About Hope,” page 748:
“”Thanks to the tremendous evolutions of the past, and considering the enormous challenges of the present, I am confident that the greatest achievements are yet to come.
And in order to attain to such heights, it is helpful to pay close attention to this inspiring line from President John F. Kennedy:
“I am certain that after the dust of centuries has passed over our cities, we, too, will be remembered not for victories or defeats in battle or in politics, but for our contribution to the human spirit.”
There it is. Let us perfect “the human spirit.” And, to perfect it, “it is needed to love people as if there were no tomorrow.” This is also from Renato Russo, whose optimism is well worth disseminating:
“At least once, just for an instant, I wish I could believe that the world is perfect, and that all people are happy.”
I am sure that, deep within, that is our ultimate desire and hope.
All in all, let us deeply believe that there is still poetry in our own machinery; press the reset button; and take a leap of faith.””
