The encounter between the “bull” and the “matador” was announced—metaphorically, Kim Jong-un is the former and President Trump is the latter.
North Korea and Iran are the two countries in the world that are most explicit about their anti-American sentiments, and Russia and China are the two main enemies-in-truce of the U.S. Coincidently, Russia and China are the only two unlike countries that have border with N. Korea, and, in some extent, Kim Jong-un might have been playing a good job in misdirecting America, e.g., by being exigent while China expands its tentacles worldwide.
Namely, whatever happens moving forward, both the U.S. long-standing foreign enemy (R.), and the top emerging threat to the U.S. (C.) will not be pawns on this chess board.
However, by firing his State Secretary Rex Tillerson (who has a good personal relationship with Vladimir Putin), the POTUS might be ensuring a clean slate, and sending a reminder about who runs the show.
Although in theory Head of States meet to sign agreements previously negotiated, under Trump administration ultimate deals can only be cut by the “matador.” Thus, it would be fascinating to be aware of what is happening in the backstage, and to be a fly on the wall during the possible encounter at yet TBD date/location.

Coréia do Norte e Irã são os dois países mais explícitos sobre seus sentimentos anti-americanos, e Rússia e China são os dois principais inimigos em trégua dos EUA. Por coincidência, R. e C. são os únicos dois países “estranhos” que fazem fronteira com a C. do Norte, e Kim Jong-un pode estar desempenhando um bom trabalho em despistar os EUA, por exemplo, demandando atenção enquanto a China expande seus tentáculos mundo afora.
Ou seja, o que quer que aconteça daqui pra frente, tanto o inimigo de longa data dos EUA (R.) como a principal ameaça emergente (C.) não serão peões neste tabuleiro de xadrez.
No entanto, ao demitir seu Secretário de Estado, Rex Tillerson (que tem um bom relacionamento pessoal com Vladimir Putin), o Presidente pode estar determinando um novo recomeço, e enviando uma lembrete sobre quem dirige o show.
Embora, em teoria, Chefes de Estado se reúnam para assinar acordos previamente negociados, na administração Trump os acordos finais só podem ser negociados pelo “matador”. Assim, seria fascinante estar ciente do que está acontecendo nos bastidores, e ser um imperceptível observador durante o possível encontro.
